The Publications Recognition Program (PRP) recognizes the best of local group newsletters, local group Websites and individual contributions to those media. The Communications Services Committee (CSC) has been asked to look into standardizing the program for the future, and is asking members for suggestions on how they would like to see the program run. A mailing list has been set up to receive and discuss those suggestions. Anybody interested in the future structure of the PRP is asked to join and participate in the dialogue.

Among the suggested changes already under review are the following:

  • Include SIG newsletters
  • Include SIG Websites
  • Include Region Websites
  • Allow individual contributor submissions
  • Allow automatic entry for all Websites
  • Remove the requirement for LocSec signatures to enter Websites
  • Allow all Mensa members to judge Websites
